Being a kind kid never got Evan anywhere in his life. Not when you’re placed into foster care where you have to fight for anything you got. He learned early on that he wasn’t going to live an easy life and accepted it. He knew that he would have to be resourceful just to survive. He didn’t mind though because as soon as he became determine to do what it took he quickly learned that he was good at being the cold and meticulous one. While he may not have been with his mom growing up he did know her through out his childhood. A recovering alcoholic who would often pop into his life when she needed something. It didn’t last for long though when she raised her hand against him when he was ten. He told the state he didn’t want anything to do with her anymore. Always a man wise beyond his years he knew exactly what he wanted.
Much of his teen years were the same as his childhood. Get settled into a new home, have to pack up and leave. He never expected anything to be different but within a few days of living in a new home he couldn’t help but get close to Amelia. For once it felt like he had someone on his side, a welcome relief after years of being alone. It was the longest that he had spent at one place and he couldn’t help but hope that he would be able to stay until graduation. Especially when the pair completed their family with Audrey. He was incredibly overprotective of the two girls and when he was told he was being moved again he couldn’t help but worry about them. When Amelia came up with the plan he didn’t think twice before agreeing to it.
Once in Boston he allowed Amelia to handle getting them jobs while he worried about housing. Since he was young he saved every penny he had every made and was able to have just enough to get them an apartment for at least a month. When she approached him about working for the mafia he knew neither of them had a choice since neither had graduated high school. He quickly swore his own loyalty to the Fanoli family knowing he would do anything for his two girls. Especially Amelia.
